The house is set on a plot where solar orientation and its relationship with the street coincide along one edge. The project adopts this condition as the basis of its strategy.
The main volume, containing the living areas, is positioned at the rear of the plot. The spaces open to the south, to the garden and to natural light, whilst distance from the street ensures privacy.
A second volume is placed at the front, acting as a filter. It accommodates the garage and a multipurpose room for everyday use: working, creating or resting. This element expands the possibilities of the house and protects its privacy.
The sleeping volume is arranged perpendicular to the street, accompanying the access and establishing a gradual transition between exterior and interior. A pergola connects the volumes and defines an intermediate space, sheltered from the sun and open to the garden.
Materially, the project is defined by a combination of white handmade brick, lime mortar, timber and concrete. In the exterior, ceramic defines the paving; inside, timber acts as both structure and finish, providing continuity.
